Rachel Whiteread's Untitled (Felt Floor) 1 and Untitled (Felt Floor) 2 are resinated felt castings of a 120-year-old wood floor from a New England textile factory. Untitled (Felt Floor) 1 is an edition of two large sculptures, each 3 inches tall with a footprint of 150 x 99 inches. Untitled (Felt Floor) 2 is a more domestically scaled sculpture, in an edition of 12 with each work measuring 3 x 50 x 50 inches.

About the Artist
Rachel Whiteread (b. 1963, London) studied painting at Brighton Polytechnic and sculpture at the Slade School of Art at University College. In 1990, she produced the monumental sculpture, Ghost, that continues to be a landmark event in her career of casting large interior spaces. The artist completed House, a cast of an East End London house, and was the recipient of the Turner Prize in 1993. Rachel Whiteread represented Great Britain at the 1997 Venice Biennale.
