About the Artist
The language-based works of Kay Rosen (b. 1949, Corpus Christi, TX) have been internationally exhibited for more than three decades. Drawing on her academic background in linguistics, Rosen uses language as her primary medium. The resulting works play with different approaches to typography and layout while often employing puns, and anagrams. Rosen's work has been exhibited at the Art Gallery of New South Wales (2014-2015), the Museum of Modern Art (1996, 2012), and the Whitney Biennial (2000). Kay Rosen is the recipient of three National Endowment for the Arts fellowships. Click to view full bio.
