About the Artist
The work of conceptual artist Agnieszka Kurant (b. 1978, Lodz, Poland) explores societal systems in a broad range of media. Her studio practice evolved from curating and remains deeply research-based. Kurant, in collaboration with Aleksandra Wasilkowska, represented Poland at the Venice Biennale 12th International Architecture Exhibition. The artist was also included in 2015 Storylines: Contemporary Art at the Guggenheim (NY).
